Who we are

Sheelix Games is the parent brand operating at sheelix.com. We make PC games. The site lists our games and projects, and hosts a public reviews section. Games are distributed through third-party storefronts (currently Steam) — we do not distribute builds ourselves. Sheelix Games is operated by Sheelix LLC, a California limited liability company founded by Sheel Parekh. Your use of our services is also governed by our Terms of Service.

Data we collect

Reviews (sheelix.com/reviews)

When you submit a review you sign in with Twitch or Google. We store your display name, avatar URL, and profile URL from that provider, and — for Google sign-in — your Google email address, alongside your review text and rating.

Playtest feedback

If you send feedback about a game through this site, we store what you submit in our database and read it solely to improve the game. It is not sold, and not shared with third parties for their own purposes. We do not require an account to send feedback, so it carries no identity beyond anything you choose to type into it. Tell us and we will delete it (see "Your rights" below).

Network & technical data

To protect the site from abuse, our servers temporarily process your IP address for rate-limiting. This is held only briefly in memory to enforce request limits; it is not stored in our database or used to profile you.

Cookies

We use functional / strictly-necessary cookies only: a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a short-lived OAuth-state cookie used during the sign-in flow to prevent CSRF. We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies of any kind.

OAuth scopes we request and why

We request the minimum needed to sign you in for reviews. We never request permission to post anything on your behalf.

  • Twitch — user:read:email: to sign you in and attribute your review.
  • Google — email, profile: to sign you in and attribute your review.

Google Limited Use disclosure

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • Google user data (including email) is used only to provide the user-facing feature (sign-in / review verification).
  • Google user data is never sold to third parties.
  • Google user data is never used for advertising or ad targeting.
  • Google user data is never used to train generalized AI or machine-learning models.

Sub-processors

We share data with the following third-party sub-processors as necessary to operate our services:

Sub-processorPurposeData shared

Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Export your data: You can request a copy of the data we hold about you by contacting us at the email below.
  • Delete your account: You can delete your account from your account settings. This cascades — it removes your stored clips and all connected platform tokens from our systems.
  • Clip retention: Rendered clips are retained for approximately 30 days and then deleted automatically.

To exercise any of these rights, visit your account settings or contact us at [email protected].

Age requirements

Our services are intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Please note that VODs you process may capture the voices of third parties (other streamers, chat participants on stream, etc.) — you are responsible for having the appropriate rights to process and publish content that includes others. Our games may contain stylized or fantasy violence and are intended for a teen-and-older audience.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
